We are pleased to invite all the members of APTA, and the theological and wider academic community to submit a proposal for the upcoming APTA Theological Commission Symposium to be held in one of our member schools: Ecclesia Theological Seminary (ETS), Hong Kong during September 3-4 2019. Proposals should be 250-300 words in length and include your full name, title, institution and email. Doctoral students are particularly encouraged to submit a proposal. Please email proposals by 28 June 2019 to: denise.austin@ac.edu.au

The theme is “Pentecostalism in Context: Challenges and Opportunities”

Pentecostalism is an increasingly fluid global movement with diverse contextual challenges for emerging generations. In what ways can the Church move forward in the 21st century as interconnected and mediated by new geopolitical and socioeconomic contexts? This symposium seeks to generate discussion and explore innovative approaches in a broad range of areas, such as theology, ministry praxis, social engagement, politics and education.

*Please note: Papers on other topics will also be considered. The APTA Theological Commission also encourages multidisciplinary panel or workshop proposals to be submitted.
